This is my primary work computer & it's getting more & more out of sync with my Windows 7 laptops on which Dropbox is still working fine. This is the same behavior as before I did the Uninstall three weeks ago I guess I've been putting off theĀ Advanced Reinstall because I was afraid this would happen. After a pause, the Dropbox icon briefly appeared in white in the tray but disappeared after a few seconds. I tried double-clicking the Dropbox icon in the Start box. Important step: Run it, you will get this error: After you run EOS 2.14.0 directly. Copy all contest (enable hidden files) to New Folder you made on Desktop. Unpack it to the Desktop and then click on.
SHUTTERCOUNT APP INSTALLS BUT WONT OPEN SOFTWARE
The shutter count is the 'Image Count' tag. Under Software you should find and Download old EOS Utility 2.14.0 zip file. A text file will be generated next to the image file in the original folder, containing the complete EXIF data. It got far enough that my Dropbox folder in File Explorer (C:\Users\Roy\Dropbox) changed back from a generic folder icon to the familiar blue Dropbox icon, and Dropbox reappeared in my list of apps in the Start box. SHUTTERCOUNT APP INSTALLS BUT WONT OPEN INSTALL
The install ran for about three more minutes before apparently stopping. Have tried all the usual fixes (restarting, logging out, trashing preferences) and nothing works. This is my main machine that I use them on regularly. the ios shutter count app also works, as others have posted, but the program i linked to above is the only one capable of working on windows with the latest canon cameras, afaik. It took about 3 minutes to download the desktop app. Have a major problem that none of my CC Apps will open on my Mac running the current version of High Sierra. this works with windows and can get the shutter count for the 5d iv. That includes the actuations that happen when the shutter opens to use live view even if you dont take a shot and also when the shutter opens to allow taking movies.

Be advised this doesnt count the number of images taken, it counts the number of shutter actuations. Hannah (or whoever can help me): I uninstalled, rebooted, deleted the only Dropbox folder I found (in PROGRAMFILES(X86)), and downloaded and double-clicked Dropboxinstaller.exe. I have a Mac and use the app ShutterCheck to find shutter count.
